Lucy bag for Wendy

I am making a Lucy bag for a good friend. It is in black and orange (her sons' school colors) . . . she is the ultimate boosters Mom and is very excited about having a hand-made bag in those colors.

I used a whole skein of Cascade in the black and added five rows of orange, then three rows of black. I have to do three rows of orange and the last five rows of black before the handles are done. It is really looking awesome but has just gotten to the point where it is not really portable any more, especially when I have two balls of yarn too. Then, my favorite, the felting. I know that this will be awesome and will post pictures of the before felting and after felting. I just love how the whole thing melds into a wonderfully strong product.

I have to admit that I did not do a whole heck of a lot of knitting this weekend. I'm still feeling punky. My doc called last week to let me know that I have campylobacter which is an infection in my intestines which can cause almost constant diarehha (sp?) which is just a lovely thing and you get really sleepy and fatigued. Therefore, I've been spending lots of time sleeping and not doing too much knitting. Fortunately, it is passing (without resorting to medication).
