"Come to the edge, he said.
They said: We are afraid.
Come to the edge, he said. They came.
He pushed them, and they flew..."
- Guillaume Apollinaire
Outside my Window... ice, cold, snow
I am thinking... that our soon to be new President get the cooperation and encouragement from Congress and the Senate, because no matter how good a person or what good intentions he has, without their cooperation nothing can be accomplished.
I am thankful for... the fact that I live in a democratic society
From the kitchen... meatloaf, parmesan rice, beets, and fabulous salads
I am creating... secret stuff for secret pals
I am going... to spend time boxing books for the local school district
I am wearing... black slacks, black sweater, red and black jacket
I am reading... just finished Scarpetta
I am hoping... to get some projects finished
I am hearing... the news on the radio
Around the house... need to get the carpets cleaned
One of my favorite things... staying home and warm when its cold and blustery outside
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... book packing today, meeting tonight for American Red Cross, violin and KAL tomorrow evening, possibly staying home on Friday, timing at Lindsey's swim meet on Saturday
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you... Zachariah's 8th birthday was Sunday and we had some friends and family over to help him celebrate.
Here he is waiting to blow out his candles while we sing happy birthday:

and he has success in blowing them all out:

and here is Aunt Jacquie helping him with his multi-colored cake:
