Lindsey went to St. Ed's homecoming with John. She has known John for almost three years. They had gone to CYO Camp together. As it turns out, he lives only about five miles from our house.
Strangely enough, Lindsey was thrilled when his mother drove them to homecoming. It isn't that she didn't trust John's driving (he has had his license for three months), it was that Lindsey knew that Dave was going to embarrass her by asking to see John's driver's license. Nothing wrong with that but she would have been mortified. I on the other hand got to explain to her that if she would ever feel uncomfortable or anything ever happens where she thinks she needs us, she should call. "Oh, Mom! He goes to St. Ed's." Uh huh, and soooooooo.
She looked beautiful and they had a great time and her feet hurt because they did so much dancing. She also had leg cramps the next day because . . . she isn'tused to wearing shoes with heels!

She does look beautiful! In Maine kids have to have their license for 6 months before they can drive with anyone under 21 in the car (except for family members). It's a good law!
