Okay, I had mentioned that I wanted to do at least one of the Special Olympics scarves. I spent time at Joann's on Monday trying to find the yarn. Well, as it turns out that supposedly the only place you can get it is WalMart. I planned on going on Saturday or Sunday to Walmart to get the yarn.
This afternoon at work, I got a call from one of the other managers. She said that someone had told her that I did "yarn stuff." It appears that Sara had also read the thing about Special Olympics needing 5,000 scarves. She had bought the yarn with the intention of crocheting at least one, hopefully two.
About ten days ago, she fell. Hard. On concrete. She shattered her right elbow and fractured her lower arm. She has pins. After being out of work for ten days, she realized that she would not be able to write much less crochet.
She brought me the yarn and asked if I would mind making a scarf. She also offered me a crochet hook.
You know, one of those small world things when this matches that which matches this which matches that . . . amazing huh!

Ouch, but what a blessing.
I went looking for the yarn yesterday but couldn't find it. I guess I must go to Walmarts.
Tomorrow is a rainy day, sounds like the perfect shopping day, huh?
