The Mystery Stole 3 and I are having a battle of wits and it is winning.
I have frogged the thing again.
I am going to a larger size needle.
I am not sure if it is me, the pattern or the needles. I'm starting with the needles.

The thing is, I really want to do this and do it right. I would love to be able to make a shawl as a present for a dear friend. Her DH has Alzheimers. She retired a couple of years ago (early) so that she could take care of him. He is now getting to the point where she will have to find him someplace to live. It is a very difficult thing for her to do. On the other hand, it is probably a year or so overdue. His condition had been rather stable for awhile but in the past year or so he has had a noticeable deterioration in many of his processes. It is so sad to see how bad he has become and the toll that it is taking on my friend.
So my goal is to do this for her. Her birthday is December 8. She would not only love the shawl, she would use it.

Therefore the yarn and needles and pattern have to behave.
