I made this:

It is the Oktoberfest shawl.  It is from a facebook KAL.  O/C Knitiot Designs ~ KAL Mystery Shawlette

It used mill ends of yarn . . . I'll have to look it up.

The next one starts in January and is called "New Beginnings" and will be a beaded shawl.

the beads will be added in my most favorite way . . . instead of stringing them, you use a crochet hook.  Great fun.

I gave the Oktoberfest shawl to my sister-in-law's Mom.  She was diagnosed with cancer just as I was starting it, had surgery and is going through chemo.  Since she was on my mind so much of the time while I was working on it, I thought it would be right to give it to her.
