Is criminy a word? Hmm. Anyway, it has been crazy busy. Work. Kids. School (their's not mine . . . thank God, I am done with that, although the idea of getting a Ph.d is attractive . . . then I could be Dr. Mom). I think I should probably pay off my student loans from the Masters first.
Good news. Dave has a job in a public school which pays more than in the parochial school where he was previously. Plus, he is out from under the thumb of the . . . well, you know. It does pay better but he is starting over again. On the upside, I can get him and the kids off of my health program and onto his, which will save me a bundle. I have to stay on mine because his has a spousal exclusion clause. But, right now I am paying $575/month for our medical premium and mine will be reduced to $200/month unless I change plans. I could get it down to $90/month by changing plans. His for the family is $30/month and includes eye and basic dental. Plus, his out of pockets expenses are substantially lower than mine ($5/$10 for one month at a pharmacy and $15/$30 for three months through mail in service). My pharmacy is $35/$70 for mail in. Plus he can get additional life insurance for a couple of bucks per month through age 70.
Anyway, the whole thing is really a grand thing and I have to say we are lucky and blessed!
