Our Christmas was a joyous event . . . another opportunity to share with each other. We missed those members of our family who couldn't make it home (none of Jeanne's boys were home . . . Tommy and his family had to return to Florida since he had to report to his ship on the 27th, Erich is in Malta with his Marine Unit but will be home for good in February and Ryan was only given 3 days from the Air Force and decided to pool it with his time for February and come home when Erich is home).
We didn't share presents this year. Instead, because of the care and kindness shown Don through out his injury and rehab, we pooled what we would have spent and made a family donation in Don's honor to the MetroHealth Brain Injury Rehab. They did such wonderful things for him and Peg. Peg and Don have nothing but wonderful, glowing things to say about the Unit.
